Want to know more about us?

What we're about

Welcome to Milton Keynes Christian Centre. Our church is full of wonderful people and it's a great community to be a part of. We love God, love people, and love doing life together. We can't wait to get to know you more. Whatever your age, story or season of life, there's a place for you at church.

I'm New Here

If it’s your first time with us, here are a few frequently asked questions to help you plan your visit.

Where do I go when I get to church?

The parking team will direct you to the closest available space. We reserve parking spaces for first-time guests, so if you’re new to church, be sure to let someone know when you enter the carpark.

As you’re walking to the building, the Welcome Team will meet you and show you where to find the Auditorium, toilets, and children’s ministry. If you need anything throughout the day, feel free to stop by Guest Services.

What do you do for children?

In Discovery Kids, children experience Jesus on their level. Discovery Kids is a safe, age-appropriate environment where kids have their own service with singing, a Bible lesson, and small group time. For parents with babies, we also has a dedicated space where parents and babies can watch the service together.

How long is the service?

Services last about an hour and 10 minutes. We start by singing three to four songs, then you’ll hear from a member of our preaching team. To get a feel for our preaching style, check out our recent sermons. At the end of the service, we create space to respond to what we’ve heard by singing, praying for one another, and bringing our tithes and offerings.

What should I wear?

Most people dress casually, but you are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable.

Ginny Brown

I am married to John, my amazing soul mate and have 3 great sons, Chris, Angus and Matthew. We relocated to Milton Keynes in 2013 and have steadily got involved with various ministries, in particular, we serve as leaders in the Here to Serve Team and as Multi Cluster Leaders in the Life Group Team. My greatest passion is to see people grow deeper in their faith with Christ and to be free of the struggles and strongholds that so readily hold us back. I have a BSc(Hons) in Management Sciences from the University of St Andrews. I carried on further studies in accountancy and worked for 5 years in commercial practice both in London and then Scotland, where we lived after getting married. Following a career break to bring up children, I moved into the finance side of the education sector and have 18 years of university and secondary school experience. I am presently the Finance and Personnel Manager at the Royal Latin School where I also serve as a staff Governor. I am looking forward to contributing to the life and work of MKCC through the Governance Team.

Director

Life with my church family at MKCC started in 2002, I have loved seeing how God continues to use the church to impact the community. It's been a real pleasure to serve in different parts of MKCC over the years. I do however, have a soft spot for my first love ministry - Discovery Kids. I began serving on the team from the 2nd week of my arrival at MKCC and currently serve on the Sunday School leadership team as Coach.
I joined the UK Civil Service in 2017 and have a broad range of experience across government departments in policymaking and implementation, corporate leadership support and financial risk portfolios. Recent roles also include Brexit-related treaty coordination and COVID-19 crisis management. Prior to joining government, I worked in the private sector managing the delivery of DFID and European Commission funded initiatives. I have a Master's degree in International Public Policy from the University College London (UCL), a BA Hons degree in Politics and International Relations with French from University of Kent, which included a year abroad programme at Sciences Politiques de Paris in France.
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our church family on the board through the governance team. I look forward to seeing how God continues to fulfil his purpose in MK and the world through his people.

John Els

Director

Since 2006, I have had the privilege of being married to Kim. The Lord has blessed us with two amazing children: Gemma and Zachary. During a trip to Europe in 2013, the Lord awakened a love for Europe within Kim and I. Feeling a sense of God’s call, we responded to the stirrings of God to relocate and arrived in UK later that year with Gemma and Zachary on an extremely hot summer’s day on 1st August!
I am a Chartered Management Accountant working in Financial Services, leading a team of Business Controllers and Analysts who support the Commercial Teams in reaching the company’s strategic ambitions.
We have called MKCC home since 2018 and moved to Milton Keynes a year later in 2019. It is a privilege for us to serve at MKCC as a family in a variety of ministries such as Welcome Team; Alpha; Membership Class and Car Park Team.
I am enthusiastic about seeing the Church become all that Jesus intended – impacting our city, this nation, and the nations of the world with the good news of the Gospel! We have first-hand experience of the freedom and transformation Jesus brings by the power of His Holy Spirt and I am humbled by the way Jesus transforms the trajectory of peoples’ destinies! Motivated by the apostolic call on the church, I am passionate about ways in which we can continually pioneer, ultimately seeing the Gospel advanced with people knowing that God is for them!
