Every time you give, you are helping our church reach our community with the hope and life of Christ. You are a valued part of Milton Keynes Christian Centre’s mission to bring people to Jesus and equip them to be fully devoted followers of Christ.
Locally, giving to our church family positions us to reach more people in Milton Keynes for Jesus and see their lives transformed by the Gospel. We are also bringing practical help via MK Foodbank and forMK.
Globally, we are committed to bringing good news to the poor and practical help to those in need through our sister charity, LightForce International. Find out about their current projects at lightforce.org.uk.
As Christians, the Bible is clear throughout its pages that we’re called to give generously. Even in the book of Exodus (chapter 35), we see the Israelites all generously giving the materials and time to build the tabernacle. If any of those people decided to withhold the materials they owned or the skills they had, the tabernacle wouldn’t have come together.
All the Israelite men and women who were willing brought to the Lord freewill offerings for all the work the Lord through Moses had commanded them to do – Exodus 35:29
Because God gave the extravagant gift of His Son to make our relationship with Him possible, we believe in giving extravagantly. We believe generosity is a form of worship. And there is a simple way to increase your generous gift!
The UK Government will add 25% on top of your donations if you register with Milton Keynes Christian Centre for Gift Aid.
How it works
The Gift Aid scheme from the HMRC allows charities to claim an extra 25% on donations made by UK taxpayers. So a donation of £10 becomes £12.50 and a donation of £100 becomes £125.
Simply complete our online Gift Aid declaration and make sure that your name is linked to every donation you make.
And if you have been giving regularly to Milton Keynes Christian Centre for the past 4 years but have not registered for Gift Aid then do it now! We can claim back Gift Aid for donations made in your name up to 4 years ago.
If you are a higher rate taxpayer or need more information then you can read the HMRC guidelines here.
