Christmas is Coming!

What is Advent?

Have you got an Advent Calendar at home?  And are you looking forward to opening it each day and finding out what is behind the door?

The origin of “Advent” is from the Latin word adventus which simply translates “coming” or “arrival”. Not only is the Christian meaning for preparation and celebration of the coming of Jesus Christ, his birth at Christmas, but also to celebrate the new life when someone accepts Jesus Christ as their Saviour, and lastly, the anticipation of Jesus returning again.

Good News

During December, we will be looking at the Hope, Peace, Love and Joy that came through the birth of Jesus.  Whether the idea of Advent is new or not, we are sure you will find something new each Sunday as we anticipate again celebrating the Birth of our Saviour and looking forward to His coming again.
