Since our Generous Life series last October we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of those who pledged and have donated to the All In Fund.  Pastor Mark outlines the latest information below and how this is making a difference already in people’s lives.

King David’s son, Solomon, certainly lived life to excess. He partied hard, chased after riches and pursued possessions. It is likely that his wealth, suggested to be the equivalent of £1.6 trillion in today’s money, would have placed him at the top of any rich list. This excess caused him and his nation great distress as he drifted from God. It would seem that he came to his senses and later reflected that those days were like ‘chasing after the wind’. (Eccl 1:14)

In his book of wisdom, he gives us an insight into one of the life principles he had learned along the way:

“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” – Proverbs 11:25

As Christians, the Bible is clear throughout its pages that we’re called to give generously. Even in the book of Exodus (chapter 35), we see the Israelites all generously giving the materials and time to build the tabernacle. If any of those people decided to withhold the materials they owned or the skills they had, the tabernacle wouldn’t have come together.

I want to thank you again for being part of ‘All In – Generous Life’, as we seek to bless our church, our city, and through LightForce International, lives in Uganda and India.

To date, we have been able to release over £25,000 to the work of LightForce International. Through your giving children and orphans are being cared for half a world away. Not only are we providing a safe home and meeting their needs we are providing an education that was out of reach for so many.

Thanks to the giving of our church, a lady named Christine was given her first opportunity of education at a nursery. This week, we heard the news that Christine has just graduated university with a Bachelors degree in Commerce and began work as a sales manager in a bank!

Pastor George, Director of LightForce International sends his thanks and says:

“The long-term fruits of investing our time and resources in children! I am believing that there are many more “Christine’s” out there. Let us not become weary in doing good, we are still serving the Lord to raise more.”

In the past few weeks, we’ve also heard the amazing news that in honour of the incredible work we have done in the district of Lira, Uganda, the local government have changed the name of the street where the LightForce base is situated to ‘LightForce International Road!

Our ask for All In – Generous Life was to release £100,000 to empower our mission over 2022. In just four months, from October until the end of January, together we have already given £53,272.

Church: £13,225
Community: £14,826
Mission: £25,221

If you would like to give a one-off gift or set up a regular donation, please visit our website being sure to choose the relevant All In fund (Church, Community or Mission) when prompted to do so.

Once again, thank you for your commitment to ‘refreshing’ others and I pray that our generous God will continue to refresh you from his limitless supply!

Much blessings

Pastor Mark
