Since our Generous Life series last October we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of those who pledged and have donated to the All In Fund.  Pastor Billy outlines the latest information below and how this is making a difference already in people’s lives.

Helping the weak!

In everything I have shown you that, by working hard, we must help the weak. In this way we remember the Lord Jesus’ words: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive. – Acts 20:35

As we journey through the history of the early church with Dr Luke he gives us a ringside seat to an emotion-filled final goodbye between Paul the Apostle and the pastoral team charged with the responsibility of caring for the church family in Ephesus. In his final words, before a time of prayer and a tearful farewell, Paul reminds them that helping the weak is a non-negotiable for followers of Jesus. Our actions show that we not only remember Jesus’ teaching as information but that it is a catalytic power that directs how we live our lives.

Helping the Children

Thank you so much for being part of All In – Generous which is our way to help those in need in our church, our city and in other parts of the world through LightForce International.

With the Schools closing for the summer holidays we are welcoming over 170 children to our six-day-long DK Summer Smash at MKCC in August. Your giving to All In has enabled us to keep the cost down for all the children attending and to specifically help a number of children who otherwise would not have been able to join us. Please pray with me for the staff and the incredible volunteers who will be sharing the good news of Jesus with the children throughout the Smash.

Helping the Elderly

As temperatures soared last week it became apparent that many of the senior citizens who are part of our Time Out group did not own fans to help cool themselves down. Thanks to our All-In Benevolence Fund we were able to quickly react, purchase and deliver brand new fans before the heatwave hit.

The Benevolence Fund

So far this year through the Benevolence Fund we have been able to distribute £4652 to multiple needs across our church family. This includes providing furniture for someone moving into new accommodation, financial support for someone during a time of unemployment, a bed for someone returning home from hospital and supermarket vouchers and travel vouchers for a family needing help with food and travel.

At the end of June 2022 together you have given an incredible £107,091 to this year’s All In Fund. This includes:

All In – Church:          £24,731
All In – Community: £32,282
All In – Mission:         £50,078

Thank you for your continued commitment and faithfulness to our church and the world-changing and culture-challenging teaching of Jesus that turns our view of our wealth and possessions upside down. Together we are demonstrating that it is truly more ‘blessed’ to live generous lives. I pray that you will continue to know and feel the favour of God in your life as we partner together to ‘help the weak’.
