Thank you so much for your faithfulness in giving to the All in Church fund over the last 12 months, your giving has made a huge impact in the life of our church. With your help we have upgraded the wireless microphone system in the auditorium and added a new mixing desk in the discovery suite, which have not just blessed the church, but our conferencing department, Discovery Kids and Time Out – our over 60’s ministry.
Your giving has also blessed children and young people through camp sponsorship, In 2018 we sent 150 children and young people to Summer camps where they had life changing encounters with Jesus. Many of these children and young people wouldn’t be able to afford to go to camp without sponsorship, thank you so much. Some of the funds have gone towards replacing some of the key infrastructure at MKCC to help us to continue to serve our church, community and wider businesses on a weekly basis.
Equip, our website offering all our resources free is continuing to be used around the world helping the kingdom of God advance. Churches are using our teaching graphics, our sermons, our children’s curriculum and more. This last year we have continued to coach and encourage church leader and kids pastors to pursue God’s vision for their community giving them practical next steps.
Your generosity over the last 12 months has made such a difference in the life of our church both spiritually and practically, thank you for leading the way with irrational generosity.
At MKCC we are passionate about people. In particular people that don’t know Jesus, because they really matter to God so they must matter to us. When Jesus was on this earth people far from God loved to be in His company. We want our church and our homes to be places where people far from God love to hang out with us.
Through your faithful giving in the last year to our All In community initiative, we were able to launch #formiltonkeynes. We want everyone to know we are FOR Milton Keynes: We are FOR our schools; we are FOR our businesses; we are FOR adults; we are FOR young people; we are FOR Children; we are FOR disadvantaged. And the reason we are FOR them is because God is FOR them. And #formiltonkeynes will continue until every person in our city hears that truth.
The Community Network Coordinator for MKCC is tasked to develop connections with our community by targeting local initiatives and projects that we as a church can get directly involved in. These include links with MK Hospital, MK Storehouse, Destination MK, Community Foundation and our ongoing relationship with MK Foodbank. Alongside this part of their time has been allocated to volunteering with Milton Keynes Citizen’s Advice where they have gained invaluable insight into the ongoing needs of MK and first-hand experience of directly helping members of our Community. Your contributions have added toward making this possible and for this we are grateful.
We are excited that we have maintained support for Home of Faith in India for another year. The project provides care, education and medical treatment for over 40 vulnerable children who are now housed at Home of Faith. The housing, bathrooms, toilets and well plus the land on which it stands were previously purchased by LightForce and MKCC. Continued support through ALL IN has ensured the children continue to benefit from living in a caring Christian environment and have a hope and future.
It was my privilege, with a small team from MKCC, to be present for the graduation of 43 Bible School students. 11 of the students come from a part of India where Christians are regularly persecuted, beaten and sometimes mercilessly killed. These 11 courageous young men & women were sponsored through ALL IN and will now be placed in locations where they can serve the community.
Our "Tuition Project" for children is overseen by our friends at Indian Gospel Mission and is located in areas where our Bible School graduates will go to serve. Over 500 children in 12 centres are being supported. Sometimes early morning and in other cases after school (or both) the children come for up to 3 hours extra tuition 6 days a week. They are lovingly cared for and helped to progress in their education. Parents report big differences in the children who attend.
Uganda continues by far to be our biggest area of activity. Projects are many, located in villages on the outskirts of Lira town. With help from ALL IN we continue to provide medical services through our community clinic. This clinic also serves our 250 students & over 60 staff too.
The Day Nursery & Primary school provide education for children from the community. Our region has the highest percentage of subsistence farming in the whole of Uganda (87.2%). Many people are poor and live hand to mouth - often sleeping hungry. Our ability to sponsor around 150 of the 240 children in Nursery & Primary school is making a great difference in their lives. In addition to education the children also get breakfast & lunch.
Our children’s village is home to 14 vulnerable children. An additional 10 children join them during school term. The 14 children are from our community and benefit from loving care in a safe environment. They are pupils in our school and enjoy an education which previously there was no hope of.
For the purposes of better education of students in our Agricultural school and working towards sustainability of our projects, we are farming 140 acres of land. We opened both piggery and goat projects in 2018 with poultry and cows planned in the coming year.
Support from ALL IN and our partners at MKCC enables us to continue to make a difference in people's lives. We are thankful for the kindness and generosity.
