Discipleship – Call

About This Talk

2000 years ago Jesus called the first people to follow him and be His disciples. A disciple then did not just learn from the Rabbi's teaching, but lived with them and learnt how to be like them. Today, Jesus makes the same call to people's lives? How should we respond? And how can we help disciple others? Find out in this message.

Thoughts To Consider

We are:

Called to Follow

Called to Leave

Called to Fish

About The Series

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

Being a disciple is a life-long, journey of pursuing Jesus. In this series, we’ll explore what Jesus called His first disciples to be and ask how we can become and grow as disciples in our lives today.

In a world where everything is quick and immediate, we ask what the long walk of following Jesus looks like. We’ll look at the call to be a disciple, the community of disciples, the cost of discipleship and the commission of the disciple. The journey of discipleship is to pursue Jesus in every part of our lives and become a disciple who makes other disciples.
