Hopefully, you’ve been a part of church in-person or online over the last few weeks and you’ve been keeping track of our “Start Strong” sermon series.

During January, we’ve been taking some time to explore four rhythms that have helped believers for thousands of years grow into fully devoted followers of Jesus, and encouraged us to practice these rhythms in our own lives.

Each week, the series delved into a different rhythm from a Biblical perspective, asking the question, “how did Jesus incorporate this rhythm into his own life?”, and how we can incorporate it into our own lives in a practical way.

“The “Start Strong” series really hit home for me when it talked about the importance of rhythm and relationship. It reminded me that, just like Godly men and women throughout history, we need to develop rhythms that help us follow God. And just like Jesus’ disciples, we can follow Jesus’ rhythms to become more like Him. It’s so true that having a rhythm in our spiritual life is key to growing our relationship with God.

One of the things that stood out to me was how the series talked about how relationships don’t just happen by chance. They take time, care, love, listening, and speaking. And the same goes for our relationship with God. It’s not something that just happens on its own. We have to nurture it every day.

The series also reminded me of how our rhythms of devotion are like the rhythm in music. If they’re not central to our lives, everything else is affected. It’s a reminder to strive towards becoming exactly what God wants us to be, and to remember that Christ Jesus wants us to do this.”

The “Start Strong” sermon series has been a powerful tool in helping us grow into fully devoted followers of Jesus. The importance of rhythm and relationship in our spiritual lives has made a positive difference in the lives of many. If you missed any of the sermons, you can catch up by visiting the church website, checking our social media accounts, or subscribing to our podcast. We highly recommend this series for anyone looking to deepen their relationship with God.
