We believe that church is not just about attending a physical building on Sundays, but about connecting with God and our church community.

That’s why we are excited to offer online services for those who may not be able to attend in person, or for those who want to experience church in a new way.
We understand that watching church online can be a different experience than attending in person, so we want to make it as easy and meaningful as possible for you and your family. That’s why we’ve prepared some tips and suggestions to help you make the most of our online services.

Preparing for the Online Service: Timing and Environment

First and foremost, it’s important to prepare for the online service. Plan the best time to watch the service and decide with those in your home the time you will all watch together. You can even send an invite to friends and share the time you are watching Church Online. Additionally, create a distraction-free environment by setting your phone aside or silencing notifications. Our services are live at 9:00am and 10:45am each Sunday, so you have a choice as to which to attend.

Engaging in Worship and Fellowship: Participation in the Service

Next, we encourage you to participate in the service as much as possible. Engage in worship by standing up and singing out loud, even though you’re at home. Partner with us by continuing in regular giving of tithes and offerings. And interact with the message by opening your Bible, taking notes, and commenting in the chat.  You will find notes for the message at our Church Online page mkcc.org.uk/live or on the MKCC App.

Reflecting and Connecting: Processing the Message after the Service

Lastly, take time to process the message after the service. If you or someone with you decides to follow Jesus, take a moment to pray. Take the next step by connecting to a Life Group. Review the sermon, journal your thoughts, and share your experience with friends and family. If you live alone, Zoom a friend and discuss the sermon virtually.
As Isaiah 30:21 says, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” We want to make it easy for you to hear God’s voice and walk in His way, even through our online services.

Pray

Thank you for the opportunity to connect with you and our church community through online services. We ask that you would guide us as we prepare, participate, and process the messages we hear. Help us to create a distraction-free environment and to engage fully in worship and fellowship. We pray for your guidance and presence as we continue to seek you, even in the digital world.

Recap

  • Prepare by planning the best time to watch the service, inviting friends to watch with you, and creating a distraction-free environment.
  • Participate by engaging in worship, giving tithes and offerings, and interacting with the message.
  • Process by praying, connecting with a Life Group, reviewing the sermon, journaling thoughts, and discussing the sermon with friends and family.
We hope that these tips and suggestions will help you make the most of our online services and that you will find them meaningful. We look forward to connecting with you online and continue to grow together in our faith.
