Multiply – Wait

About This Talk

About The Series

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”…

Matthew 28:18-20

The Book of Acts records the events that made the gospel burst out of its confines in Judaism and the city of Jerusalem to reach out to the limits of the then-known world all in just one generation’s time.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8

God’s glory did not end when Jesus returned to heaven. The Holy Spirit was sent to empower believers to fulfil God’s purposes on earth. God in us the hope of glory!

The Acts of the Apostles are the acts of today. God is at work in the world through his church. From Judea to Samaria and to the ends of the earth, his Kingdom will continue to multiply and his government will increase through all generations.

In this series, we will discover the characteristics God wants to multiply in his church as we continue his mission to GO into the world.

Each Sunday, we will see how the first followers of Jesus learnt to apply these different areas to their lives in the weeks after Jesus had been resurrected and returned to heaven.  And we will discover how these same principles can Multiply what we as Christians do today.
