Everyday Life Events are often rich with stories about how God has been at work in people’s lives, and gathering these stories can help create a culture of celebration and life change in the church.

Here’s a list of everyday life events to look out for, along with some questions to ask when gathering stories.

Career Changes

Ask the individual about a career change they experienced and how it was a reflection of God’s guidance in their life.
Ask about how their new career has impacted their life and how they believe God has been present in the change.

Marriages or Anniversaries

Ask the couple about their wedding day and how they experienced God’s presence in their union.
Ask about the impact that their marriage has had on their life and how they believe God has been present in their relationship.

Birthdays

Ask the individual about a milestone birthday and what it meant to them.
Ask about how they believe God has been present in their life during that time.

Adoption

Ask the individual or family about their experience of adoption.
Ask about the impact that adoption has had on their life and how they believe God was involved in their decision to adopt.

Graduations

Ask the individual about their experience of graduating and how it was a reflection of God’s guidance in their life.
Ask about the impact that graduation has had on their life and how they believe God has been present in their journey.

Relocations

Ask the individual about their experience of relocating and how it was a reflection of God’s guidance in their life.

New Beginnings

Ask the individual about a new beginning in their life and how it was a reflection of God’s guidance.
