Ongoing, progressive and prophetic vision is vital and important. Over the past few weeks, we’ve heard some inspiring, hope-filled messages for the future and shared some announcements for our church. There is so much we have shared together about our vision for the church that we see:
”We see a church that is for our city, positioned in the heart of our community; a church that is constantly celebrating people making decisions for Christ and growing in God.
We are excited about what’s next for our church, but it’s not going to happen overnight; it’s going to take time, dedication and commitment, but it’s going to be worth it.
So, how are we going to do it? That’s the topic of our new series starting this Sunday. As we started to build the vision in our hearts, we felt God speak to us about the name “Each One Reach One”. ‘Each One Reach One’ sums up what our vision is all about. Each One Reach One is about stepping out to reach others for Jesus. That includes all of us, not just collectively, but individually. ‘Each One’, reaching one—one life at a time.
Making our vision a reality
Throughout June, we are going to take the first steps toward making our vision a reality. We will uncover five everyday ways to step out in faith, love and service to reach others for Jesus. We are excited and faith-filled for all that is ahead. We believe that God has much more for us as a church, and we can’t wait to step into it together.

The bottom line is that to accomplish our vision and to fulfil Jesus’s mission of helping others come to know the love of God, we must all become ‘Blessers’. Bless, by Dave and Jon Ferguson is the perfect companion for our new series. It’s called “Bless: 5 Everyday Ways to Love Your Neighbour and Change the World”.
In their book, Dave and Jon Ferguson share five simple, straightforward practises that will equip you to share your faith with your friends, neighbours, and coworkers:
- Begin With Prayer: We want you to ask, ‘God how do you want me to bless the people in the places you’ve sent me to?’
- Listen: Don’t talk, but listen to people, their struggles, their pains, in the places God sent you.
- Eat: You can’t just check this off. It’s not quick. You have to have a meal with people or a cup of coffee. It builds relationships.
- Serve: If you listen with people and you eat with people they will tell you how to love them and you’ll know how to serve them.
- Story: When the time is right, now we talk and we share the story of how Jesus changed our life.
