About The Series
Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2
It doesn’t take long after Christmas for the shelves of our supermarkets and corner shops to start filling up with Easter eggs. But with daylight beginning to stretch each day, it feels like spring is on the way and Easter is just around the corner. At MKCC we will be celebrating on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, both in-person and online.
This time of preparation is not new to the Church. Lent is a 40-day period of making space for God leading up to Easter. Every year, millions of Christians choose to give things up in order to put Jesus first.
Our teaching series, ‘For the Joy’, is drawn from the incredible perspective of the cross given to us by the writer of the book of Hebrews. Together we will journey through the last week of Jesus’ life on earth as recorded by Matthew.
