About The Series

And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. –

Colossians 2:6-7

What’s important to us? It’s a simple question with profound consequences for how we live out our faith as a community of God’s people.  It’s a question that gets to the heart of our values: things that motivate us and guide our decisions. Values help us live with direction and purpose – like a guiding compass. Whatever happens in our lives, our values can show us the way forward, and help us make better choices.

Living in line with our values, we will tend to be happier, more confident, more fulfilled and more influential.  If there is a mismatch in not living out what we say is important, we will be unhappy, less confident, unfulfilled and less influential.

As a church, we have seven core values –

We are moving towards maturity – We have made an intentional decision to grow up in Christ

We are saved to serve – We are God’s servants doing what He has equipped us to do and watching Him make the difference.

We are passionate about people – Lost people matter to God so they must matter to us

We are committed to community – We do life together building a loving community

We are forgiven to forgive – We will share radical grace with others in the same uncompromising way we have received it from Christ.

We are given to generosity – We will lead the way with irrational generosity

We are bringing our best – We want to excel in all that we do so that we honour God
