Check out this update from Pastor Mark as he shares an update on in-person services and our heart for continuing online church and our commitment to continue reaching and serving people online.

Hi Church,

I want to take a few moments to update you on some important next steps we’re about to take this Sunday, in light of the Government’s easing of restrictions.

From this Sunday, 25th July, for those of you who are within travelling distance of our building in Milton Keynes, we want to welcome you back – especially now that we can finally sing again!

As we’ve discovered over the last few months, even without being able to sing, there’s something so powerful about being in the presence of God with others, worshipping together. I’m really expectant for what God is going to do as we continue to re-gather in this new season.

Keeping You Safe

At the same time, because of the current situation, we’re also going to do all that we can to continue to make our services safe. While we welcome more people back, we’ll still keep our seating more spacious and we’re going to encourage social distancing as much as possible.

Although the legal requirement to wear a face-covering in England has ended, with cases rising, the Government expects and recommends that people continue to wear a face-covering in crowded and enclosed spaces. So, we’re also encouraging all those over the age of 11 to continue wearing face coverings whilst visiting church, except whilst seated with a drink in the coffee shop area.

We’re asking everyone to agree to these measures as part of our registration process, and to play their part in making our services safe.

Reserve Your Seat

You’ll still need a ticket to attend in-person services, so please reserve seats for yourself and anyone else attending with you, including booking spaces for your children to attend Discovery Kids. Check out our website to stay updated on specific information for in-person services as it comes available.

Our Heart For Online Church

At the same time as gathering together in person, we’re also continuing our commitment to online ministry. Whether you’re someone who’s still checking out church, or you live outside travelling distance to our building in Milton Keynes, we’d love you to be part of church online and fulfil the mission of Jesus where you live. We want to continue to serve you as best as we can, so tune in on Facebook, YouTube or visit mkcc.org.uk/live.

I’m so excited and expectant for all that God is going to do among us – for all of us, my prayer is that we will experience the Lord’s peace, protection, and joy personally, and that this will be a significant time of reconnection!

Every blessing,
Pastor Mark Sherratt
