Check out this update from Pastor Mark as he shares an update on in-person services and our heart for continuing online church and our commitment to continue reaching and serving people online.

Hi Church,

As you know, we have been back in the room for in-person services over the last few months, gathering in smaller numbers according to the government guidelines. I have loved singing once again, and there is definitely a fresh hunger and anticipation in the room.

Firstly, I’d like to thank you for your cooperation and understanding of our requirements for in-person services, which you have so graciously been following. Secondly, I want to take a few moments to update you on some exciting next steps we’re about to take from Sunday 5th September.

Church Is Back

I am thrilled to let you know that from this Sunday, 5th September, church is going to feel a lot more vibrant and full of life in the building – a lot more “normal” again! We will be meeting for two services at 9:00am and 10:45am, and beginning a brand-new series called ‘Discipleship’. It’s an excellent opportunity to bring a friend or family member to church this month!

We’ve been working behind the scenes to make it possible for more and more people to attend our in-person services. If you’re considering joining us, you’ll be pleased to know that:

  1. You no longer need to book a seat before attending.
  2. We’re all able to sing.
  3. There’s no social distancing requirement or one-way system.
  4. You can enjoy a tea or coffee together after the service

Parking

Our Park and Ride facility will be also running again, so please park across the road from the church building in the College Car Park. For directions, visit the parking page on our website. Once you have parked, you can walk back to the church building or use one of our shuttle minibuses for a quick drive.

Keeping You Safe

While we welcome more people back, we’ll still keep our seating more spacious and we’re also encouraging people to consider wearing face coverings when moving around the church building.

We will continue to have sanitiser stations available throughout the building, and please remember you to stay home if you have any COVID-19 symptoms.

Discovery Kids Is Back

This Sunday, Discovery Kids is also back open for all children! To celebrate their first Sunday back, the team have some great giveaways! Every child who attends this weekend will get a Golden Envelope, loaded with chances to win sweets, games, Dosh, or even one of our special Family Bundles!

There is no need to pre-book children in online. Simply come along to either of our two services at 9:00am or 10:45am and join the fun!

Church Online

If you are unable to join us in the room, Online Services will still be available at 9:00am and 10:45am, weekly! Our online services will go live 15 minutes before the start of each service for a pre-service hangout at mkcc.org.uk/live.

I’m so excited and expectant for all that God is going to do among us – for all of us, my prayer is that this will be a significant time of reconnection! I look forward to seeing you in person this Sunday, as we worship together and give thanks for what God has done and will do.

Every blessing,
Pastor Mark Sherratt
