This week, we are celebrating all of our wonderful volunteers, past and present!
Jumoke has been serving on the Fuse team for the past 6 years and dedicatedly serves every Friday. Each week, she comes in with a smile and is always seeking to do more. She has an incredible heart to connect with our young people, where she constantly lifts them up in prayer and encourages them.
Caroline leads worship on a Sunday. but Caroline does so much more than that! She’s involved with the weekly rotas, helping to organise special services and selecting songs for worship. And in addition she volutners as production oversight on a Sunday, ensuring that everything runs smoothly in-person and online. Her love for Jesus is so obvious to anyone that serves alongside her.
Susanna has been part of the Food Bank team since the beginning of the pandemic. On the occasions where Susanna has not been available to help, it’s soon realised it’s because she is otherwise occupied using her creative skill and eye for detail to decorate the church building for one of our seasonal events. Through her contribution on this team, many of our visitors are overwhelmed with the look of the building!
Jeme is one of our Here 2 Serve facilitators. She leads all the teams who welcome people to church once a month. She is always smiling and has said she loves here team!! Jeme also serves as one of our hosts for online church.
Deepika serves in Konnect, our 1-2-1 ministry that supports children with Additional needs. She is outstanding in they way she support her Buddies and connects with their families. She is always looking for new ways to engage the children she supports and is always willing to do over and above her regular serving times. We are so thankful for all she does - she is not only a huge blessing to her buddies and their family but to the whole Discovery Kids team.
Amelia volunteers at our Parents & Toddlers group on Tuesdays. She comes in at 9am; helps set up;, assists with all the teas, coffees, toast, and Juice; welcomes parents; and then stays to pack all stuff away. She is always willing to do more and help in every way she can!
